Sirena or Rainbow?

You are about to spend two thousand euros or more on a vacuum cleaner and you want to know whether you are choosing the right one. This page compares the two using facts you can check yourself — not promises.

Start with the obvious: they are not opposites. Both work the same way. There is no bag; the air passes through a bath of water, the dust stays trapped in the water, and what comes out is washed air. Anyone choosing a water vacuum is choosing well. The question is which one.

The empty cells are not a trick: they are what you find on the manufacturer's website. With Rainbow you cannot buy online and there is no price: you request a demonstration and a distributor comes round. That is their choice and there is nothing wrong with it — but it means you only learn the price once someone is sitting in your living room.

* The 3,500 € is the order of magnitude reported to us by customers who have had a quote at home. It is not an official price and we do not present it as one: the only way to know for certain is to ask them. Ours you have just read without asking anyone — and it is less than half.

Where Rainbow is right

The home demonstration has a real advantage, and it is only fair to say so: you watch the machine work on your own carpet, with your own dust, before you pay. We cannot offer you that, and there is no point pretending it doesn't matter.

What we can offer you is everything else in advance: the ten troubleshooting guides on this site, the videos showing how parts are replaced, the reviews collected by Trustpilot after purchase — which we do not choose — and a WhatsApp chat where you can ask anything before buying. And if the machine arrives and doesn't convince you, you have fourteen days to send it back, as European law provides.

What matters in eight years

A water vacuum lasts fifteen or twenty years. In that time the belt, the HEPA filter, the bristles, the hose insert and the motor's carbon brushes all wear out. It is not a defect: it is maintenance, and it happens with any brand.

So the question is not which one sucks better on the day you buy it. It is who is still there on the day something breaks. Machines sold door to door are sold by a person who, a few years later, often no longer answers — and that is where the hunt for a part begins.

With us you see it in advance:

We earn less from a customer who changes a 6.60 € belt himself than from one who buys a new machine. It is written there all the same.

What we do not claim

We do not claim that Rainbow is a bad machine: it is a respected brand, it has been around for decades, and the technology resembles ours. We do not claim to suck harder: you could not verify that from behind a screen.

What we do say is this: with us the price is written down, the parts are written down, the workshop exists. Compare that with what you get to see of the other before you sign.
